This document serves as an in-detail look at the traditionalist and monarchist policies that the Conservative party holds. Although we hold neoliberal economic policies, our domestic and constitutional policy is an unquestionably traditionalist one.
We are a party that supports increased power granted to the House of Lords and Monarchy as a safeguard against revolutionary progressive ideas.
We believe in immigration that does not destroy our culture.
We are a party that protects traditional and British values.
We are the only party that is capable of protecting religion and its role within British society.
“Much of the social history of the Western world over the past three decades has involved replacing what worked with what sounded good.” - Thomas Sowell

This manifesto is centred on our traditionalist domestic and constitutional policies, but if you would like to read our more detailed manifesto, you can find it here.
Constitution
The constitutional arrangements that exist in the United Kingdom have served us well for hundreds of years, we should not reject these because they stand against the views of the current liberal consensus. A democracy needs to protect the rights of citizens, rather than allow tyranny of the parliamentary majority.
The current House of Lords currently holds the power of delay over bills, but due to the parliament acts of 1911 and 1949 and this has become very limited. We support Lords Reform bill that allows the House of Lords the power to partial veto, requiring the bill to be voted on in the Commons with a two-thirds supermajority.
The cultural unity between the Commonwealth is consolidated in a shared Head of State. Radical attempts to abolish the monarchy as the Labour government pushed for are ultimately damaging to England’s position in the world stage, and as an exceptional nation. We need to protect our constitutional monarchy and the traditional values embodied within it.
Immigration
Currently the British immigration system makes no consideration to the cultural and social compatibility of those entering the country. Because of this, the Conservatives proposed and fought for a referendum on the EU and has a developed policy on how we will handle immigration after a British exit from the EU.
As part of the Australian-style immigration system the Conservatives favour ,we want to introduce a strong cultural criteria that ensures that only individuals compatible with British culture and values are allowed entry. This will prevent the problems and extremist violence that arose from the United Kingdom’s policy of multiculturalism.
We want to decrease immigration from the European Union following a British exit and replace it instead with immigration from the developed Commonwealth. The role of immigrants is to enrich their host nation, either economically or socially; this becomes difficult when we admit those with radically different views and cultures who will be unable to effectively assimilate.
British Values
Only a month ago it was found out that radical muslim teachers have been making organised attempts to introduce an islamist ethos into secular state schools as part of what is known as the ‘Trojan Horse Plot’. Only a Conservative government is capable of fighting against radical Islam, when other parties favour a policy of strong multiculturalism.
In addition to our other policies safeguarding British Values in education, we believe that teachers should have to take an oath similar to the Hippocratic Oath to publicly show their commitment to education and upholding British society.
The Conservatives voted unanimously in favour of introducing traditional grammar schools. We are a party that favours social mobility for the hardworking and intelligent. The failure of schools around the country shows the failure of the comprehensive experiment, we favour introducing a system that improves the standards of teaching for the best.
The Conservatives introduced the British History and Values in Education Act of 2014 which ensured that British children are encouraged to embrace British values, and denouncement of ideas that are contrary to these values we hold important. Similarly, the national curriculum will focus on early and modern British history, from historical monarchs to the fall of the British Empire; and in English, students will learn about British authors and playwrights such as Bryon, Keats, Milton and Shakespeare.
The Conservative Government understands and accepts that we are a Christian country and is opposed to efforts by other parties to destroy the role of religion on society. We believe that religious and cultural values are indistinguishable, and that progressive attempts at secularisation are merely destroying British culture and values. The Anglican High Church is a cornerstone of our society, and we should prevent it’s shrinking role in society.
